Some people
Avoid darkness
Some people
Fear darkness
Fear its uncertainty
Fear the lack of sight
Some people
Consider darkness to be
The path to hell
Yet, some
Let darkness take over
It fuels their minds and
Drives their emotions
No one can get in
Not even the light
Can penetrate
I embrace the darkness
And this is my advice:
A little darkness
Keeps you honest
A little darkness
Can help you see the darkness in others
It can give you passion
(Controlled passion)
To reach your goals
Darkness is not your enemy
But it also cannot be
Your best friend

This is a wonderful poem. some times fear is good but it can work against you as well. Fear controled my life at one time.

This is a very well written piece. I do feel like you could use some punctuation to make the meaning even clearer, because right now it just goes out into one. But maybe that's just me. I agree with everything said in this. Good job!
