A Dim Reflection

Quaking, shaking
Transcending soul

Among the dead
  long gone
Where do you
  belong?

Life remains
  ingrained, apart
There is no death
  of this kind

You merely play
  possum
Getting up slowly
  to walk
Away from
  threats and lust

Gentle soul,
  you must wake
See the wind
  feel the sun
When they have
  passed by
It shall truly
  be done

Awaken now,
  oh my soul
And carry
  these burdens
Long shouldered
  to the One
Love preordained
  to rise again,
Rise to live!

One day it shall
  all be well past,
Reflected from

An awakened,
Transcended soul

    Very Beautiful!

I enjoyed this very much and like all good poetry, feel that it can be interpreted in many different ways. Great metaphors and use of imagery and descriptive language. Very nice job!!
