Throwing rocks at your window,
Knocking at your door,
I want to be reminded,
Of what I fell for,
We’ll race down the street,
We won’t be back till morning,
Just get on your feet,
And meet me outside.
Knocking at your door,
I want to be reminded,
Of what I fell for,
We’ll race down the street,
We won’t be back till morning,
Just get on your feet,
And meet me outside.
Author notes
This is a song I'm still writing, this is just part of it. It's inspired by a mix of bands and songs. The main song that inspired this is "Check Yes Juliet" by We the Kings. If you haven't heard it yet, I recommend you give it a try. (:

...eeee...short poem...which is refreshing in contrast to some of the longer poems...and most likely fits with the song more...
...what I get out of this poem is the relation of the context between the song and the poem...with a comparison of young love potentially being awkwardly happy but at the same time sometimes we don't know how to think about it...which is a very hard thing to capture...so very well done...
...good luck in the contest...
