I sit here all day by the phone
and no one is home
My husband calls
and said he had a surprise for me
I don't like surprises
But I believe in him
and it is not a sin
so he comes home
with dew kissed roses
with love in his big brown eyes
I pull one out to smell
to my surprise I scream
There is a big black bug in my rose
I hate bugs
he has a mask on his
little buggy face
wheres the mace
I can spray him in the face

I love the bugs almost as much as the flowers. The flowers are their world. But I take them outside and put them on the flowers out there.

The storyline to this and the title are great...Maybe try adding some puncation to it, to make it a bit less run on...but overall I really liked thins.

Awe the sweet surprise gone wrong there is the truth about this life even in the pretty things those sweet and innocent moments there is terror within.
I really like the play on words and how death managed to find its way into this otherwise all too cute little poem.

Hey this is sweet, cute and funny all rolled into one.Like a romantic comedy.I can just see the excitement of Leo bringing you a surprise and you getting all warm and fuzzy seeing the roses...then BOO!! Guess the bug had a surprise of its own, but then the bug could've been just as surprised as you! A really nice way to start my day.
