All the hopes
All the dreams
stay safe
wherever you are
wherever you can, stay..
This world is not for this perhaps
It is for our hearts to break
For making mistakes
For things to learn
And a life to earn
To find which is the way, question, learn
This is a world
A lowly place
where dreams are hatched
not.
Just bated breath, till we succumb
to coins over eyes
to forever dreams
to fantasy
an end to all yearnings
The being after death...
A becoming to small simple nothings..
Author notes
Of course the first two lines- directly taken as prompts from the song A Summer Place..
When was the last time you felt such a way....?

Well I expected more out of Mariza, she usually chastises negative thoughts...maybe she just likes to yell at me.

Life is just practice for the real show...that is an intriguing way of looking at it. I hope not because I'm failing misrerably at this thing called life, lol
I read something vaguely familiar by a respected poet...but I'll never remember the name or the poem, just it dealt with life not ever matching our expectations and it being just a way to get to the next world.
I love the tone...If I possessed the ability to use it, I wouldn't be commenting right now, I'd be writing.
But you know what this is, and you might disagree...it's a life affirming poem...for no one shows this kind of passion for how they'd wish life to be unless they loved it.
But don't tell that to the Emo crowd, they like believing their brooding nature suggests they hate existence...which is probably impossible but I'll say that explanation for another day.

Journey from living to dead to afterlife... !!! wow... I love it...
well put the misery of a dying person who has lost all hope of fulfilling his dreams... the begining lines very nicely seem to potray how important those dreams and hopes were... ARE to him...
then the dead state of a person's life... feeling of non-belonging...
and then in the end, the feeling of upliftment...
beautifully put...
and I certainly hope I am atleast close to what you actually meant... lol...

Wow.. interesting interpretation!
Seems to have sent you on a thinking imagining trip.. which to me sounds gr8
I meant .. wishes, dreams, are tender innocent naive little things that do not have place here in a life time.. but at the same time needed to learn what wh have to when we cannot fulfil them.. and that's probably the purpose of life?
Just one more thought on the theory of life..

keep writing
