Summer Love

April 16, 2007

Things were never great for us
if you never knew,
but after awhile on eachother
we grew,

For alittle while we went our seprate ways
but that only lasted so long,
we both counted the days

but when you left to oregon with my heart
you only came back to leave it
all torn apart,
our love was so unique
just hearing you speak my name
made me weak

I waited so long
for a simple kiss
the special feeling of your warm lips,
I waited so long for just a hug
the tingles of your soft finger tips

I loved you more than anything
yes we had our problems
but we always made it through
but nomatter who your with theyll never love you
as much as I do

The promise we made to always love eachother
is a promise i will always keep for you
nomatter how far we go in life
that promise from me will always remain true

It all ended

oh, this poem takes me back about a thousand years ago to a summer love or two I recall... a very deftly done and nifty poem... bravo!

  • A good poet can put someone in there shoes and see what they see while feeling how they feel. Seriously reading this I was getting kinda sad and it reminded me of heartbreak which sucksssssss...you are a good writer and I look forward to reading some more of your stuff
