Upwards floats the Fire Fairy
Skin as hot as flame
His hair releases sparks
Fire fills his veins
Don't let him sit for long
On your pink pale flesh
His feet land lightly
But they burn you none the less
His eyes (black as coal they are)
Will look into your soul
For he has flown wide and far
And seen the corners of the world
His wings are transparent
But they turn red from heat
He couldn't tell you exactly
But his blood runs at 203
Hold him for a short time
As long as you can
For (just like a lover)
He might not come back again
You might look at him
Envy him for being free
But you don't know he's searching
You see...
He cannot dream.
Author notes
I don't know where in my head this came from,
But I've had fire on the mind lately.
I'm not sure why.
