Swine flu
On the horizon
Death toll
Constantly risin'
One, then five, then ten
It all started with the Mexican
I bought a pig for cheap
That piggy crossed the line
I started getting dry heaps
I gots the swine
It started across the border
That's where you get the swine
It got all out of order
When Pedro crossed the line
To Mexican boy
To Mexican child
A swine stampede
Like wild fire
First Mexicans
Now Americans died
Oh well
At least they tried
Please tell me what you think

Hoodwinked!
This epidemic has swept the world. It's really quite interesting to consider the source. Your piece made me laugh - humour brought into scared moments is a good idea.
I'm sorry for the late hoodwink, life has had me all caught up!
Glad to be here to comment, better late than never!

This poem was quite clever. To take the swine flu story and turn it into a piece of poetic work. Great job.

Hood-Wink!
I like how you have tried to rethink what is going on with the whole 'pandemic' thing and I'm glad you're not getting too worked up about it. Cheers

Hoodwinked
I strongly dislike when people panic for something that can be controlled through common sense. I haven't heard anything new in over a week. All that worrying for nothing.

Hood-Wink!

If we didn't laugh or at least smile our way through bad things we'd never survive; this shows that
Bravo on a great piece!

Hoodwinked!
A timely and quite deadly topic, we need a little humor injected into it find a balance in this wacky, messed up world. Thank you for sharing your personal spin on this Pandemic. Write on dear poet!
You have been Hoodwinked today by the Poetic Bandits because WE CARE!

HOODWINKED!
Oh my, this was very humorous and so topical, watch out for all the little piggies hanging around the place!

Hoodwink!
This made me laugh! Although this swine flu was really totally overrated. I liked this poem, it is lighthearted, and had some great rhyme...

Smiling here...
I think I might say this poem is funny, but it's probably politically incorrect to say that because of the nationality thing and the death thing but your poems always make me smile and chuckle and even laugh, so you get my BIG SMILE!
Love the way you rhymed this. lol
