Those Days

You used to look me in the eye,
and read between the lines.
You saw through the mask,
never fell for the lies.
Now you make me want to scream.

We used to love to drink together.

You would never think of tomorrow,
and you'd drag me along for the ride.
Darlin', I miss those days.
In those days I believed you cared.

I never used to hate you,

but that was before she came along.

I'm not the jealous type,

and I know you like the girls,

but she's not like the others.

They left, she stayed.
