Shivering in the breeze the fearful trees
Omits a smell of fear, I have not seen for years;
Dancing leaves, waltzing across the open field
Over the tops of graceful gravelling grass,
Drifting ever so slightly into the beyond.
Storm clouds coke the mid-day sky
From breathtaking sunny summer days
To natures wrath and her gloomy ways,
The taste of rain painted ever so black.
Kidnapping my soul, I stand still
Fists clenched tight, eyes wide shut
I watch the storm and smile
In pure delight, I wait…
The chorus of rain singing down, as if to inspire(?)
A beautiful beat with a thunderous sound,
Measures from sky to ground!
Incased by flashes of streaking light, to govern the darkness;
(stalking my thoughts)
As this endless Opera clothes the night,
Still, I wait…
To savor the flavor.
Of what it might.
