Aajkal akhbaron ki surkhiyon mein
Ek naya hi bharat nazar aata hai
Lootpaat, samajwaad, samrajyawad
To kahin kisi neta par joota fainka jaata hai
Waise sahi bhi to hai kuch hadd tak
Yuwaaon ka yun behekna, bhadakna
Sarkaar se ki gayi umeeddo ke aashiyaan ka
Kaanch ki tarah bikharna, chatakna
Sirf apne naare, apna ghar, apne log
Bas yahin tak aakar sab theher jaate hain
Apni bhaari jebein bharne ke liye
Kitne masoomon ki bali chadhaate hain
Dange, fasaad, le dharm ki aad
Yehi bade log karvaate hain
Phir door baith tamasha dekh dekh
Man hi man muskuraate hain
‘Aatank khatam karenge hum’
Galiyon mein naare lagwaate hain
Or phir khud hi aatanki ban
Apna hi desh jalaate hain
Aise vidharmi, deshdrohi, paakhandi
Jaane ‘ticket’ kaise paa jaate hain?
Desh ke saare kaanoonon ki
Khul kar khoob khilli udaate hain
Kabhie angrezi bhasha or vyavahar ko
To kabhie computer ko doshi theheraate hain
Vishwa ke saath kadam se kadam milaate desh ko
Waapas peeche ki or dhakelte jaate hain
Jo ek akshar padhna bhi nahi jaante
Aise log desh kya chalaayenge
Bharatvarsh ke ye mahan neta
Kya sach mein ise kabhie samajh paayenge?
