melting angels scurried
around his head
as if they were
lacing an icy halo
to catch the heat
of harsh city days
--
crystals tickled his cheek
and gave him a subtle nip
as they slid along
his jaw line
---
he noticed the white
around him
and then the cut out shape
of his own size nines
that he left behind
as he walked

' --- I love this part. The imagery and flow is amazing in this piece.
I like where you went with my prompt.
Thank you for entering my contest and good luck. -
Nice images here—I especially liked the third section with "and then the cut out shape / of his own size nines / that he left behind / as he walked." I also liked the way the poem drifts like falling snow; it starts with the head, drops to the jaw, and then flutters down to footprints. The way you arranged the short lines was nice, too, and it gave the piece a downward motion.

Very beautiful.
Reminds me of a quote: "Sometimes people walk into your life, and they leave footprints on your heart, and you are never the same."
-
Just to let you know, in the description of my contest I asked that everyone request their prompt via comment, and after that reserve.
However, I will give you your prompt here.
Your prompt is a word:
blizzard.
Good luck!
