The eye knows when to shut,
when to blink, when to open wide
Lenses contracted, detracted,
Fractured light and prisms
Have you seen the dark swimming spots
of pollution in your viscous fluid
when you stare at a beige ceiling?
Perhaps those are the I-spy’s
filtered out for their absolute horror.
A woman’s eye know what to see,
eventually, knowing when to let down shutters,
to squeeze out what hurts sockets to see.
Strange that what was once ugly,
when stirred in visceral stew
is strained for soulful beauty.

Your woman's eye has always been a source of pure vision, my beloved Sister. Yes, some things will pain our sight...ahhh, but the Beauty we find somehow makes up for it. Good luck in the contest, Sweetie.
