Perceive the Universal Hologram
Note that the richest, deepest colours
are those that sorrow's reflection brushes
Joy and happiness' radiant spectrums
are seasoned and spiced by suffering
Their shades embossed and textured by pain
From God's palette flows charcoal and gold
producing tapestries intricate, subtle and stunning
Brought to life through darker shades infused with light
Author notes
I've been drawn closer to God through my sorrow and suffering. It's a difficult lesson because suffering makes me feel further away but I'm beginning to understand why nothing can separate me from the love of God, especially terrible physical and mental feelings!
In fact God is probably more in this than in anything else because we're more needy and we appreciate and are more grateful for everything good.
How can we ever truly see the light unless our eyes have known darkness?

Very Deep Emotion
I am sure you will relate to this poem that I wrote it is based on Romans 8:35-39 and very much describes your comments on this poem God Bless You! Love J
“His Love”
Higher than the heavens
Deeper than the sea
Greater is the love
Which my Saviour has for me
Who shall come between us
Shall trials or distress
Or any sword or perils
Or even nakedness
And as it has been written
Even though we may be killed
Through Him we’re more than victors
And with His love we’re filled
For I have been persuaded
That nothing ever made
Can take me from my Saviour
Or beat the price He paid
His love transcends creation
He’s saved us from the fall
Our Master’s love is calling
Will you heed the Masters call?

Beyond Stunning!
Wow.
This has left me breathless and awestricken. There isnt really much that I can say. This has touched me so deeply. It's a truly magnificent masterpiece. You leave me inspired, not only with this beautiful perfect poem, but with your deep understanding of the true meaning of life and light. Tis a painful journey, full of unbearable sorrows, torments, great losses and huge prices to pay. How else would you see the true light without first seeing Satans fake dark light. Thank you foq reading, and for the comments. I hope I have the strength to read more of you.

Very Nice
You foreshadowed the poem well with "sorrow's reflection" I think the message is artfully conveyed within your metaphor of the tapestry which is made beautiful through the woven dark and light.

Hello Georgia,
It's been too long since we've had a chat. I miss you.
Producing tapestries intricate, subtle and stunning
This poem is an intricate tapestry, both subtle and stunning at the same time. It is beautifully worded and spiritually moving. I loved it.
I believe that the colors we see after death, make the earth born ones pale in comparrison and we are enraptured and struct silent. For no words of man can fully describe, the vision that will befall our spiritual eyes when we glimpse Eden.

I used to say you can't see the light unless you're standing in the darkness. I'm losing that belief, but that's just me and I don't know it it's a permanent loss or not.
I get more from this each time I read it though. And I'm not about to say it's bull, because it's not. As I've said before, the strongest people that I know are the ones that have been through absolute hell in their life. I think it's clear that it's the crap they've shuffled through that's made them so strong.
The metaphor is great though, reminded me of your cooking and potions etc. Herbs and spices, you know.
Good luck in the contest and thanks for the link.

I think it's more that we see the light when we've been in darkness previously, not that we see the light when we're still standing in darkness. Cheers for reading and I'll read one of yours tomorrow, it's late and I'm logging off.
