Heaven knows no color segregation
for many hues are gathered there within,
but there are some whose words would beg to differ,
and those who do, commit a mortal sin.
Like flowers in the meadow we exist,
each color lends its beauty to the day,
and we are brothers under different skins
no matter what the ignorant might say.
It does not matter if we're black or white
to gain our wings, for justice we must fight.

Great work, my friend
As usual, this is great work. I see I am rather late in getting to this poem, but it is wonderfully penned with no wasted words.
The only comment I might have is that I think " some who's words" should be "some whose words"
Great work, my friend. -
beautiful take on the prompt and i like the message you sent. that's true, we all should work together and make a healthy planet for everyone to live. thank you for your entry.

wonderful done! I'm very fond of the first two lines

Great message throughout your lifting poem, we all bleed red, and all are mortals. Mankind under one umbrella. Good luck to you

Another flawless piece of rhyming matter from you Di! Yes, beneath our skins and in our hearts, we are all humans ... each a scattered seed of humanity to grow and then wither.
"Like flowers in the meadow we exist" ... my favourite line.
