cobalt
tincture, I;
you, open
dazzling saffron;
we, the briny sweet
of
tiny green
candies
ii
measured
mass of
precedents;
unyielding.
inevitable,
the glacial calving
roars,
a plunge to
your sapphire liquor;
dissolution.
iii
Forested blankets,
nest
at altitude;
Spotted your spots -
robin’s eggs
clipped my wing;
I am a
loft in
a spruce thermal.

lovely poetry, Paul - you've really made the "blues" your own. i also liked the vignette style here - it works so very well to show the different shades of this relationship. i especially liked the first vignette: two separate colours becoming one. this poem left me with two sensations: one of a fresh, cool plunge, but also at the same time with a sense of gentle warmth. a very lovely and creative take on the prompt! thank you for entering it into my content.

This poem takes me into the experience of itself and leaves me not wanting to find words to describe it. Soft, fast, yummy. I love the imagery.

Love this read! It's fast deep and filled with color and imagery. I did have to remove the background to read it.

i love the idea of opening a color here, and not as if it's a can of paint...lol -- but i feel it as something else...wonderful poetry Paul.
