I lie here alone in bed
Thoughts of you streaming through my head
I’m trying to focus
But can’t get past your hocus pocus

Making you the only one I see
It may seem a little lame
But you’re the first to have my mind un-tame
I’ve got a lot of work to do
But I can’t when I’m thinking of you
You get my mind all out of wack
When my memories take me back
The thought of your kiss paralyze my thought
And pull my mind to a halt

It was around nine
Now it’s closer to midnight
And my feelings are starting to fight
Those hours acted out in my head by mimes
Like they’ve done too many times
Voices in my head telling me to forget about you
But my heart not allowing it to come true
You’re worse than my favorite song
Repeating itself in my head so strong
It’s like a bad addiction
Except it’s all non-fiction
It’s all played out in my mind
When it's over I can't stop hitting rewind
And the truth is I really like it
In the end it’s all worth it
Because when I’m next to you I don’t have to fake it
