Her costume wavers with the wind built up around her.
The smile stays on the entire time she is up,
But as soon as she is off she can't remember how she did it.
Rotta is her name. The circus is all she knows.
The outside world only enjoys mocking her.
They do not care about who she is.
As long as she keeps flipping, she is safe.
Her costume is all black and dangles about her legs.
It doesn't do much to protect her if need be,
But it is good for show.
And that is truly all that matters.
She is the voice of the lonely,
The voice nobody hears.
She is the voice of the sad,
The voice everybody cries with.
And she is the voice of the broken.
The voice of too many.
Author notes
Circo degli Scarti means "Circus of Rejects." Rotta means broken (feminine form). Both in Italian.

Wow, I really liked this write! I loved the images and how you used Italian words..such an amazing and unique idea. I could feel the angst and sadness of this girl, whose life is only just a show. I wasn't expecting the direction you took the picture in, but I am so glad that you did, because it was incredible!!
A tragic yet gorgeous write; you're a finalist
