In Memory of a Bowling League Member

A great friend
always cheerin on his team.
An eager bowler
that never wanted to miss a night.
A cheerful person with a kind heart.
He handed out Christmas cards to everyone before Christmas.
He was sick for 4 weeks i don't know what from.
His passing on the 5th week shocked the whole league.
He well always be remember for his happiness and kind heartedness
as a friend and a fellow League member

  • I'm very sorry. Excellent poetry.

    RIP

  • I am terribly sorry...

I know its always hard to give up someone close, and I am sorry that it happens.
    Know I feel your pain.
    R.I.P.

  • Dear DT

I've been bowling in leagues for the last thirty years, and every now and again we lose someone.
This sounds like a "very special someone" you've lost here. There are such people in this world. People, who feel an incumbancy to lift the spirits of those

around them, and their own spirits as well. We are twice blessed that we crossed their path.

    Condolences to all! Bowl good!

Indeed, the world is at a loss without a nice person, it seems kind people are becoming more and more of a minority....

I am sorry for your loss, but you show a lot of companionship and fondness of your friend. He is in a better place, now, and is watching over you for your safety, though. God bless and keep up the great writing!

Awe so sorry to hear this and may god bless his soul.

Remember we must all pass and return to the dust of this earth yet it is what we do with that time we are given in between the moment of birth and the moment we leave this earth that really matters.

I don't know if I have anything to add to what everyone has already said.
I'm deeply sorry for your loss. My prayers go out to Pat's friends and family.

I do have a couple spelling corrections though:
    "He w(i)ll always be remember(ed)..."

This is an excellent, and very heartfelt, write.
    Take care.

    Aww this was deeply emotional
    and heartfelt, but your words
    made this such a beautiful
write. You put your heart into
    it, and it shows.

    A most treasured tribute

Wow this is sad The ending was different then I expected. Wonderfully written and it was a pleasure to read.

  • I'm really sorry for the loss of your friend!

that must have been a shock. to suddenly not be there anymore. death sure is like a dirty kidnapper.

this reminds me of how my late husband and I met about 30 years ago! a close friend of mine belonged to a bowling league and there was an opening. my husband-to-be was on that bowling league and that is how we met!

death kidnapped him too, 30 years later.
