Stress fractures past bonds
My family bends and breaks
I have been here once
What should be, can’t ever be
Because actions have severed
My jaded heart seeks
the one I want to become;
I’ve found inner strength
Prayers compel a valid plan
as I trod this unknown path
I seek the Lord’s will
I will endure my choices
My life will prevail
Propelling promises come
As the good Lord leads me

well written
I wonder what was severed that was mentioned in stanza 2; though this is just random curiousity on my behalf

Cleaved
I like how your poem made feel the speakers breakage. For instance, how you use "Stress fractures" as a pun in your opening line. I am confident that Jesus will shine His light on you "as [you] trod this unknown path."

Oh my...
Time flies by...and things change so quickly...I do not know why you seemed to have vanished. But here you are. I am seldom on, as I am so busy musically.
It is so NICE to see you, and your precious work.

James,
I know I vansihed. Life has been a rough ride for the last year and half. I went to college for over a year and did not have time to write amongh other things that were going on in my life. I sent you a message about that. I am fine and God is GREAT!

comforting
An interesting poem that speaks of truth, determination and hope. This is perhaps the kind of poem many of us can relate to and, just being able to relate to the ponderings and reality of others, is enough to enable us realise many such things are common of human experience. For me, this in itself can be of comfort.

Thanks for your comment and insights. I really like this write. I am sooo ready for a change after all the pain I have gone through recently. God is calling me forward and I am trying to follow.
Thanks again.
