I shiver in my winter coat
Will winter ever be over?
Will summer ever be here?
Beautiful, beautiful, summer
When the never-ending blue crashes to the shore…
I close my eyes
I am no longer sipping my hot chocolate in my fuzzy slippers
But drinking lemonade, my feet sinking into the soft, white, sand
I am reading a book on my towel, the sun beating down on my back
I am laughing and playing volleyball with my friends
I am diving through the waves with my sister
I am lifting the ice cream to my greedy mouth
And feeling it melt on my tongue
I sigh
And I sink into my slippers
And I pray for summer
Beautiful, beautiful, summer

Ah, this was a pleasure to read. Summer is wonderful, but also too hot sometimes, lol. Nice images, made me wanna be at the beach. Thanks for sharing.
