My heart bled
and dyed the roses red,
tear drops fell to quench
the drought of grief.
The plinths by your grave sides
have worn to a pew
wherein my chapel of sorrow
I still light the candle for you...
Unanswered prayers
wears the path to the cemetry
and while I sit and call your names
to every breeze
It resusciates that hurricane
which took everything
and left me.
I mourn
with a heartbeat of thunder
and cry a monsoon of tears
because my mind
will not allow me
to forget you.

I am not saying anything here because I know and it touches me again, the way it did that day you allowed me to share with you. Know that they remain in my heart always with you.

Thank you for sharing your heart-and-soul-felt 'poem of memorial' to your parents and lost siblings.
I feel your grief, and all I can say is, that I can only hope for better tomorrows, for the future of our ALL children, everywhere the world over.
Take care, and God Bless.
