than a smile left behind.
Whether you are young or old,
yours or mine .
Some never find it,
some holds back.
Yet a smile given freely,
is like a pat on the back.
We are all strangers,
yet we are all the same.
Looking for life's dangers,
in lifes game.
Yet to find out,
what joy a smile can give.
A blessing to all boys and girls,
as long as we live.
For there is no better gift,
than a smile left behind.
It gives the soul a lift,
and heals a lonesome mind.
I have lived 55 years and find this day,
the teaching I was given helps me today.
Times get tough yet if you hold
your spirit above all else,
nothing can take that smile away
for to help others you help yourself.
Be not sad when times get tough,
know to show love will lift you up.
For this old world tests our faith every day,
and I continue to smile and brighten mine
and all others paths along the way.

TRULY THE WAY TO LIVE!!!!!
Your wise words remind me so much of the ways my parents and grandparents lived. They believed in this way so much and did their best to pass it all on to me.

I love this write. I can't even begin to tell you how much a smile means to me. I think that if everyone learned how to smile, then this world would look a whole lot brighter. Thank you so much for entering my contest.

Thank you for sharing your heart for you have deeply touched mine. I share with you in your belief of bringing a smile and letting others share. I believe firmly in living in the Spirit of Goodness by the Laws of Love. I immensely enjoyed your poem and thank you for participating in the contest. I only wish more awards could be handed out.

How very true!!! I know I have seen that smile from time to time, that really picked me up, and gave me a gentle push forward when I did not think I had it in me to continue on for another day. Great job on this one!
Best of luck in this contest!
and love
