In the moonlight,
Of the night,
I stare into the unknown,
The silence of being alone,
Look; see nothing,
Though everything is something,
A contradiction of itself,
And that’s all that’s left,
Daring a dream,
Killing a scream,
Hiding a fear,
Shedding a tear,
Slowing of a beat,
Needing to defeat,
Wanting to know,
Leaving to go,
Searching to find,
Losing a mind,
Fighting to win,
Forgetting to grin,
Settling for less,
Cleaning a mess,
Excepting a death,
Catching a breath,
Dreaming to wake,
Longing to break,
Going to leave,
Bleeding to greave,
Dying to heal,
Destroying the unreal,
Leading to follow,
Pleading for another tomorrow,
In the moonlight,
Of the night,
I stare into the unknown,
The silence of being alone,
Look; see nothing,
Though everything is something,
A contradiction of itself,
And that’s all that’s left.

I feel like I've read this poem before... maybe I just didn't comment it
This was really powerful, but not in an overwhelming way.
It was raw and to the point. Great job.
