I'm slowly killing myslef because of you
You nearly ripped my heart out
And now I can't eat
can't sleep.
You expect me to be okay with your decision
You want to forget what you did
To move on to someone better
but I can't.
I can't go on living this way
I need to get back to my life
But the memory of the things we did are still here
so I can't.
Why did you do this to me?
You knew it would cause me pain.
But life goes on,
and so can I.

I loved it
The last 2 lines were the most powerful in this whole piece. This poem really made you think and wonder. It was a very well written poem.

thank you. it was written over a stupid high school crush. i'm over it now. the only good that came from it were the poems i wrote. i haven't written any since but i got quite a few from it.
