She shaves her head
and burns her bra
refuses to wear heals
dresses would be blasphemy.
She hates all men
she screams and yells
she thinks that asexual reproduction
should be put into use for humans
She has memorised manifestos
and quotes other angry women
she tells of struggles
and of streif
but i wonder....
does she truly celebrate
her womanhood
the beauty that is herself?
to her, breasts are shackles
of a long repressed sex
and her womb not a vessel of streingth
but a weight pulling her down
and again i wonder
how can you say
that you fight for womanhood
when you do not celebrate it?
Author notes
this is NOT and attack on feminism. i myself am indeed a feminist

Ah yes, you have written of a very important part of feminism - the celebration of being a woman.
Your poem illustrates well, in the first 3 stanzas, how some may be so taken with zeal that they overshoot the target, and damage themselves.
I like the way you presented, as wondering thoughts, a strong and different view. I love the strength of the last two lines.
Thank you for reading, and for entering the contest.
