I folded the memories just right
to make a paper crane
of all our adventures
small enough
that I could keep it
in my pocket
but don't worry
it still has wings
to fly
...tada...

I appreciate memo poetry made into a memoir
This is tight, and expressive ~ it is true a really good puppet usually uses many cut sheets. And, there is a story when they are formed together, so likewise a fact of going to the park per se may not seem substantial, but with the collage it's a personality.
"small enough
that I could keep it
in my pocket" -- wow, so personal yet burrowed by how you store the longevity in your heart, but it can also resume.
Thanks for coming to my page, and I hope you don't mind me returning favor,

Your use of metaphor to create imagery is strong in all your poems, and this one is no exception. Stunning!!

thanks! big smile. I love it when people go back in my pile of poems that I've written. Sometimes poems have more impact when you've forgotten you've written them, go back and read them and find they describe exactly what you're feeling. Smiles. Thanks for the comment.
