Lavender and lace
My grandma's smell floating in the air
Ancient furniture coming from another time
Hundreds of memories fill my head
A cool breeze enters the room
I see the dust flying away
The sunshine shyly appears
Making the clouds of the past disappear
Lavender and lace
A perfume of Provence
A little girl running in the fields
Tasty toasts waiting inside
It was another time, another world
Now the house is getting old
Walls cracking and windows breaking
But memories never left my mind
And my head will always keep
The charming and reassuring
Look and smell and touch
of lace and lavender.
