In The Dark.

There was a time,
When I packed all my dreams away.
Living in a shell,
Hiding from myself.

There was a time,
When I was afraid.
I thought I reached the end,
There was nothing left for me.

I'm made of more than just my yesterdays.
I look around, I couldn't believe the love I saw.
My fears behind me,
Gone are the shadows and doubt.

I had to decide to play it safe,
Or look deeper inside.
To turn the tide.
To take that step of faith.

This is my now,
Breathing in every moment.
Taking in everything around me,
tasting the world again.

I had courage like never before,
Settling for bliss.
But I'm ready for more.
Ready to turn another page.

I am on another page,
Undefined.
I'm just beginning,
The pen in my hand.

I found myself today,
But I began to run and hide.
Then, I was pulled back,
By the voice of reason I didn't know I had.

It's written in the sky,
Sooner than you think life turns around.
And I will be strong,
When everything changes again.

The stars are shining,
All I know is yesterday is gone,
And I belong to this moment.
In my dreams, and in reality.

It doesn't matter what people say,
It only matters how true you are.
Even if it all goes wrong,
