Sacrifice

Here comes the end
It's what I've been waiting for
As I watch the light come closer
I reach my arms out and give my final prayer

"Give my lasting strength to those in need
Take my heart and spread my love
Give to them what little I have left
The endless joy and laughter that I carry within me
The child that never died, but sleeps eternally
Show them how I see the world

And forth comes the last of my waning strength
Going out to those I love
To those I call my friends and family
They who mean everything to me
And without, I would have been lost

It is to them who I give myself to
They who I give my love and joy
Let them feel the peace and happiness
That I have always been able to feel
Oh Death, who takes me now
Grant me just this one wish
This one thing that I've only ever wanted
With all of my heart and soul

Let them be spared of the endless sorrow
The reoccuring pain that I have felt
The endless cycle of torment and madness
Save them... For I could not save myself
Let them not follow the paths that I have taken
Show them that the darkness is not to be feared
Let them know the light is not always truthful

I give to them

And all the love and happiness
That I have ever felt

This is my sacrifice...
