J: Your attention belongs to me.
A: My words hit your ears
like a pebble in the water
my wants are your orders
your reason for life
to serve me
I am your focus.
J: Now my words slip into your ears like a lover sliding into bed
I am the flame, you are the gypsy moth
You are the page, and I am the music, without me you cannot survive.
You are in my dominion
A: I am the queen to your serf
The snake that entreats you the apple
I am your honour, your consience,
Your hopes, and desires
Your Hormones are slave to mine
You are my toy.
J: You suffer my wishes
A: Wither like a trapped Rose
J: Unable to escape me
Both: Because you've already surrendered.
Author notes
this was written for a poetry workshop and it started out as a poem about definitive selfishness... and ended up about general emotions. it's preformed by both of us together.
