She totters on her tiny feet
Dimples dancing, what a treat!
Daintily chasing a firefly
Her prey is elusive, but she will try
Yesterday a butterfly she saw
and down the garden path she tore
Pure and innocent glee shining
Her quest for happiness untiring
Cannon balls fly and atom bombs fall
While she plays with her big red ball
Simple joys make her day
While swirl around chaos may
Youth laughs, pure and white
Free of pain, hurt and spite
While the world with itself fights
She catches fireflies on moonlit nights
