Parted Lover's



I have loved you since the dawn of time
Two hearts joined in one rhythmic beat.
Spirits compelled to search for one another
Destined lives needing the other to be complete.

Our essence once walked this earth together
Bound by unending love and nature’s hand.
Parted by destiny our time ended too soon
Shadows fallen, our souls roam the land.

Beneath the soft glow of the lovers moon
These hearts found their loves once again.
The hands of time were cruel the fates  kind
Together forever and always, their love begins.


Author notes

Written with my sister Twilight Panther, with whom I share a unique and close relationship. Throughout this poem we continually finished each others thoughts.

    If this is supposed to be a story. I believe it is incomplete.

    first stanza (first person?)
    second stanza ( one of two telling the story)
    third stanza (there is a third person telling of the two)

    ARGH! HELP!

    I like this peice. Perhaps not the theology behind it, but I do believe that falling in love wiht the one you will spend the rest of your life is a lot like this. You search for each other and often times time is cruel, it tears you apart and puts you back together, falling for the wrong one only to be patched up and broken again. Until finally one night you meet them, the one you have been searching for for what seems eternity. However, in that single moment all the past events are nothing, the scars are gone from all the times you have been broken as you find the one who completes you, and in that instance your forever begins. THough you have always loved each other time no long holds oyu apart. A beautiful peice, something I can relate to. THank you so much for sharing I did so greatly enjoy this! Keep on penning

    Most Lovely

    There is no time where love and our hearts are concerned. We love I believe for an eternity and then of course so many times over do we love I know the love of which you speak the love of two halves becoming whole then I too believe that we love more than once to this degree for we have so many loves in our lives. I love the subtle strength of this work the pondering that you gift your reader there is a soft quality that captures one from the very first line until the very last. Well written my heartfelt
