A book of love?

A  rose not given
A kiss not received
An eight letter phrase
That’s rarely said.

A fake smile
A broken heart
A few emotions
Left untold.

A sad, boring life
A need for more
A lack of communications
Closes all doors.

The simplicity of a ‘cure’
So easily available
But the only person to give it
Is so blind to the fact.

Emotions have shattered
A heart has hardened
Love is locked up
And the key is tossed away.

A few tears of pain
And then it happens
“I love you
And I hate it when you cry”

Finally after what seems forever
Communication is the key
Emotions unleashed
And now a new page in the book of love.

    Wow!

Have heard this in just plain words as well. Life is hard sometimes isn't it? And we wonder what it is that makes a difference or makes things change. Nice job of putting your heart on paper, Malzy. Love you bunches!!

The loneliest of times can be spent with the person that we love. I like how you've built this up until the ending. But then again, I'm a sucker for happy ones Very nice

    Love,

This is good, intense emotional content here. Sadness throughout. I am so glad to see you writing. Please keep doing it! I liked how you flipped the cliche of "those three little words" to "an eight letter phrase".
