devoid of glow
the shades harbor my mood
the brilliance of the sun
contrasts against the drab
this stillness of life
the water seeps from
the broken sky
clouds rush in
slowly to conquer
the land with
fallen ocean
the sand is carried off
in waves of repose
drowning everything
that I have ever known
I keep wishing for the colors
to return
but the sky never responds
the crows fly by
off in the distance
I think I can hear your voice
I am just fooling myself
how long can this loneliness continue?

This sadness is genuine, and it's terribly heartbreaking. I love the ideas coming in on each other, just like those waves down below. I love this tone, fits the prompt nicely, thank you.
Love,
Jin
