How is your back?
-Aching and restless.
my body is sore,
my mind is lonesome
I miss my family
while confined to this white sanitary keep
in an effort to feel better,
I take each day as one
before the other
I didn't think my accident
was that bad,
until the surgery was complete
they lied-it was not a success,
I still feel incomplete
the road to recovery is a long one
learning to walk again
learning to talk again
relearning to be human
instead of being powerless
I must survive
the biggest collapse of my life
strength must ignite from within
to lead me along the path
so I may be in the arms of the ones I love

yes, you are very right this definitely sounds like the view of someone going through a recovery of sorts, denial, pain, sorry, loneliness, then acceptance and recovery. All feelings. Thanks for sharing this with us and thanks for entering this into my contest.

Powerful read! You did an amazing job on this one! I love it! You know something in this one, grabs me, reminds me of what I have tried over the years to teach my boys! We are all human, no matter what...,
we may look different, have a disablity, or what ever, we all bleed red, and have feelings, and thoughts. Great job on this one!
Best of luck in this contest!
