Can you hear the beating of my heart?
When you're near me
I feel the rush, I fall apart
From a distance
I stand, admiring from afar
And in an instant
I wish that I was in your arms
I hear music
In your laugh and in your songs
And when you smile
I know that you were there all along
But I'm dreaming
You don't feel the way I do
Still I'm hoping
You might come to love me too
You're my fantasy
The one I dream about at night
You look my way
The shadows fade out of my sight
Out my window
I watch the setting of the sun
And start wishing
That maybe I could be the one
I close my eyes
And as I tumble through the dark
All I hear is
The rhythmic beating of my heart

I think I made the ending a little rushed. This was written for a challenge on another site, and I decided, What the hey I'll post it here too.
