Tristan Storm

A name I chose for me to hide
The sickening feelings that’s inside
Of a history that will stay untold
My soul for a change I would’ve sold

A new beginning a whole new life
To put to rest all my strife
A person born with thoughts anew
New experiences to start to woo

Tristan the name that’s to be sad
But no more fun I’ve ever had
Smiles and grins left in my wake
Goals and hurdles to overtake

Storm the last name to be used
No more wanting to be abused
A raging tempest erases the old
One thing left, to be bold.

Author notes

I wrote this quite a while ago but only came around to posting it now. I changed my name to Tristan Strom from the start of this year ( the poem originated about 2 weeks later) but I am not sure yet if I want to make the change official...

Please tell me what you think.

You definitely have a flair for rhyme and rhythm, Tristan.

I enjoyed the depth within this piece. May all of your experiences be good ones.

I'm doing well, Tristan, but my computer has been a real pain over the past year.

I definitely am getting a new one, or at least, switch over the security system I have on it when I can afford to cancel the one I have on it. They charge an arm and a leg just to cancel their service. I hope that you're doing well, and everything works out with your sister's friend.

        Your friend,

        Don
