Vexation

I remember straining to tame the beast Free Verse.
Not poetry
Not prose
Not enlightening in any way.
Methodical minds
failed
at burping forth irregular structure.
Simple spasticity was taken as
aptly applied assonance.
Repetition revealed a frightened writer,
paralyzed by ideas of styling fresh thoughts.
Consonance and assonance,
the tools of fools,
gushed together to suffocate me in waves of idiocy.

    Ooh nice job! Haha, I like it! Sometimes I think my poems are *too* free lol, I know how you feel though. I think it's great the way it is. If you're looking for suggestions about free verse, maybe try thinking less in full sentences- everything doesn't have to make perfect sense or paint a concrete picture, just phrases, emotions, etc. But nice write my darling, I love your pieces. :-) Blessings!
