My veins once were dry,
crevassed,
a dust cloud carried by the wind,
passionless heat
a drought,
no tears,
no laughter,
no love,
only lust,
spreading its seed of destruction,
but I've seen the rain,
I've partaken in its cool refresh,
softly falling upon my head,
dripping and running down my chest,
bringing back the plants long dead,
a garden now in bloom,
blue roses,
a love tossed in mystery and promise,
giving birth to love,
true love,
endless...
I fell for her,
in that moment,
the rain drew us closer,
I ventured and kissed her lips,
they were soft,
like silk tossed in sweet rose oil,
her hair drenched,
a flowing stream of water,
partaking in gravity,
continuously flowing,
resting on her burdened shoulders,
I saw them lightened,
released from burden and worry,
her arms, trembling but holding me strong,
her legs weak,
in knees, and ankles
but afraid to let me see her fall,
yes, I fell for her, and I fell hard...
My drought ended,
my blood flowed warm,
burning,
with a passion to strive,
a passion to move on,
to continue loving,
my dry crevasses were filled with a flowing embrace,
now transformed,
what was once a lifeless abyss,
now the very depths of my passionate soul,
and my heart grew,
an ocean for her to sail,
but this is only the beginning,
we have yet to leave the shore....
