You said to me come set me free,
oh, such words I longed to hear;
we watched sun's citrine sky and sea;
hands felt first these moments appear
when our love became plain to see.
You let me sooth soft silken sheets
in an Arabian Night’s dream;
we met the sun on quiet streets
to talk and sing and dare to scheme
that tomorrow of life completes.
You gave me hope: staid, just and true;
you made my fears and doubts subside;
you stood by me - my world so blue-
lost, weak hands held past tears cried
and you ask me why I love you.
When every day to amaze me
beneath moon’s iridescent light
we find no shadows left to flee
only destiny’s promise bright
burning desire from past’s debris.

"burning desire from past’s debris"...
Quite an ending! I also liked the walking
of streets where I could envision two
sure that all the world was sleeping while
they strolled sharing dreams. Blue

I love the name of this. I love meeting the sun on quiet streets, and the idea that every day with this person was a gift, it's just lovely. I wish you the very best,
love,

Wow, this was a ver nice write. I could picture most of it very clearly but I thought it was a little short and that more could have been added. Other than that, it was great. Good luck in the contest!
