and pray you fight for what is yours

Grasp onto life’s eternal flame,

Bring to the ones you cherish most,
all your love, respect and praise
Be a great father to your child,
a loyal husband and a friend
The man they can always turn to,
a person on which to depend
Liam I plead you listen to me,
come back to see that tiny face
For that little child you’ve fathered,
needs you standing in your place
I know that you can hear me friend,
in my heart I feel it’s true
For this world will seem quite empty,
without a man the likes of you
We all have selfish reasons,
why we’re asking you to stay
But your family needs you to be here,
to live and love and play
Use the strength we’ve all been given,
rise to fight another day
God helps those who help themselves,
