The world's full of apathy, but I don't care
as life itself is bitter sweet and pretty ugly,
but if there's anything I can't stand, it's intolerance.
We are merely the original copy, fastened to a belief
that we have to be who they say, the world's perception;
recent history echoes my opinions of humans, dismal.
They shove words down my throat, like arsenic in random order,
just to confuse the echoed truths from their threats.
My heart in thunderous silence complies only to survive,
'act naturally,' they echo with their whips and stalinisms,
but I really couldn't care less.
Sometimes we need a little bit of tough love
and perception changing, to help us realise ourselves
and how powerless we happen to be.
Compassion is merely old news, for this new start
is full of the kindest cruelty.
I think the change is awfully good for us,
we're too soft on this natural drug, we call life.

yes the world is full of apathy. i hate it, but nothing to be done about it. I find myself getting bitter the longer I am here.
