Red Roses Burn

Mark the wrist
with timeless scars;
to dispearse the pain

Cover the trail
rinse off the blood;
the eyes of the world
are cruel.

A binding reminder
chaining the memories;
raw bone to flesh

Pounding the chest
the bleeding heart;
far too much
to bare.

Red roses burn
the flames of blue;
passion lies
as cold as death.
