It's hard to see
Yes, it's true
That people can be
What they don't seem.
Take off my mask,
And tear down my wall.
Open me like Jericho,
And i'll be completely vulnerable
Suicide, Sadness, Abused and Assaulted.
Loved and lost, Scars and wounds
Revealed to you.
I'm not myself on the outside.
And the inside has been darkened.
Wash me clean,
but that won't work.
My blackness is a permanent stain
and i'll forever have it.
Rebuild, Reborn,
Cover it up,
But it's still there.
