Imagination At Play

.
.
They opened the gates of --- Wonder
tip-toed softly into the land of --- Awe
disguised in dainty butterfly wings
they're greeted by wee folk in song.

And all things told of fairy tales
      Fantasy --
            Un-true--
                          Un-seen
nipped and played around their feet
and welcomed them into their fray.

They sipped tea with the tiny Fairy Queen
at Moon's table of twinkling stars
Played peek-a-boo with Captain Ted E bear
who whispered of his adventures afar.

He sailed them across the Chocolate Sea,
to the never ending fields of mystical charm
where they spread imagination's wings
setting it free to learn how to fly.
