Fortune's Fool

Ebon lockes fall
to frame a face so fair
Sheets of silk surround
A figure that else
Would be layed bare

Blood-red Lips
And lashes long
Porcelain tint of skin
Ears that beg
A whispered song
Of loving most intent

Legs like roads that lead
Where hands are meant
To Roam
"Follow me..."
Your starred eyes speak
As though they bid me
To come home

If I could run my hands
Upon the skin
That graces both your sides
I'd wish on bones
Like falling stars
That you would ever
Just be mine

And if I could kiss
Those waiting lips
My heart would never fly
Even if they were poisoned
Then a happy man I'd die

No, if I could hold you,
As my own
I'd never let you go
A fool I've been for lesser things
But in this case I know
A bigger fool could never be
Than would let you slip away
Rather than love and keep you
For forever, and a day

Please tell me what you think

    Brillant

This is an amazing poem with such great narrative flow. You are indeed one of the few whom can write brillant poems about love and friendship and those whom we value.
