Celtic Honour...

When the flesh has fallen from mortal man
His lifeforce remains in his head
The man of valour is honoured
Long after he is dead

His skull is taken from his tomb
Engraved with Celtic art
Symbolising eternal life
As they have done from the start

He is given a place of honour
Within his family domain
In hope that he will aid his tribe
In their hearts he will remain

In a list

Please tell me what you think

  • Is that true? Is that what was done in the past? Hmm...interesting indeed!

      it was indeed true!

the skulls were adorned with celtic artwork and given a place of honour in the home of family members because the ancient celts believed the head to be the place wherein lay the spirit of men...they treated the earthly remains with great reverence in particular..the skull.
