My faith has been flatlined;
cancer caught me in a cage, paralyzing heartbeats
& freezing me in sleepless insanity - insomnia hospital walls,
with little white dotted prescriptions, dangerous to touch.
They pose the question of memory and belief - each crevice of my core combusts,
this is how the great founders got forgotten.
is this aggravated assault, or assonance in poetry?

I used all the words in the wordbank.
I know I can't write, but you know you can't judge me [not really.]

Once again you astound me with your word choices and the way you flow your lines together to make a very poetic poem. I love that you ended this in a question. Great work. Thank you for entering and of course best of luck to you. Kahy
