I've been gamblin' after midnight
For thirty odd years or so
Hangin' my life on a wire so tight
It cuts clean to my soul
And I feel just a joker
That got tossed out of the deck
Stumblin' down the road to nowhere
I'm a god-damn livin' wreck

Need to settle my wild ass down

Old and poor to be paintin' this town

Life's a circus and I'm the clown
I'm in an ocean of blue
And I'm half drowned
Still I'm chasin' them whiskey women
Spendin' my every dime
Bettin' my future on a sure fire loser
While battlin' the hand of time
And I feel  like I'm a hundred and fifty
But I'm barely forty five

    I keep hearing the melody of an old Patsy Cline song. This would be nice with a chorus ... I really enjoyed it and can hear it as a song. I just would like not to hear Patsy Cline thanks for entering.
